People Matter

The building suffered significant fire damage to the interior wood joists therefore the structure needed to be completely replaced. With the structure being 120+ years old it was crucial to keep the historic Charleston elegance by taking great care recreating the exterior façade to match its original appearance. The new design also was required to accommodate the high seismic loading and incorporate the stringent earthquake detailing required for Charleston.
