Rob Gernon

Rob Gernon is a Principal and Cultural Integrator at BPA with more than 20+ years of structural engineering experience. He has contributed to a wide range of building projects and brings deep technical and leadership expertise to his role.

At BPA, Rob works across all divisions to mentor and support staff at all levels, helping teams navigate complex challenges while championing the firm’s core value of One Team. He is highly experienced in project management, client relations, and complex problem solving, with a strong focus on developing high-performing teams and a collaborative culture.

As a Registered Professional Engineer, his experience includes high-rise, commercial, healthcare, historic mills, K-12, higher education, industrial, multi-family, logistics, and national brand prototype projects. Rob has performed numerous structural assessments on existing structures including historic mills, post-tornado damage assessment from the Joplin, MO EF-5 tornado (2011), and post-hurricane damage assessments from Hurricane Wilma (2005) and Hurricane Michael (2018).
