Department of Justice 2010 Standards for Accessible Design Now in Effect
American Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plans
Britt, Peters & Associates is reaching out to owners and managers of facilities that allow public access, regarding Department of Justice (DOJ) updated ADA technical requirements. Hospitals, universities, municipalities, public venues and parks should be aware of 2010 ADA requirements.
The DOJ requirements are enforceable as of March 2012. Having a Transition Plan may help shield a building owner against claims of non-compliance.
Britt, Peters’ ADA team develops Transition Plans economically and efficiently tailored to meet the needs of the client. We assist facility managers and ADA coordinators in budgeting, planning and implementation of ADA compliance.
