John Connelly is a principal of Britt, Peters and Associates with primary responsibility for managing the civil engineering component of the firm’s business. A Registered Professional Engineer in seven states, John has provided professional engineering services for a wide variety of civil and structural projects throughout the Southeast – with construction values as high as $50 million. In the civil arena, his experience encompasses site design services for educational, commercial, industrial, institutional, utility, residential, government, and roadway projects. These services include, but are not limited to, master planning, grading plans, hydrology studies, best management practices, sewer design, lift stations and road profiles. Although John focuses on the firm’s site design and general civil engineering services, he is also experienced in structural design, having worked extensively with construction materials such as steel, concrete, wood and masonry. Having a LEED® Accredited Professional is strategically important to the firm’s plans for growth as owners, along with government entities, continue to move toward sustainable design. John’s extensive knowledge of green design has helped establish Britt Peters as a leader in this rapidly growing market segment.
